Faculty Doc Request

Request Book or Article

Document Delivery is available to all Northwestern Law faculty members. The document delivery service allows faculty members to have books, articles, and other known items delivered via email or to faculty mailboxes.

Materials available in the Pritzker Legal Research Center or online will normally be delivered within 24 hours on weekdays, or on the following Monday for requests submitted on Fridays and weekends.  Materials available at other Northwestern libraries will be delivered within 1 week. Materials not available from Northwestern will be requested via interlibrary loan. ILL articles usually arrive within a few days and ILL books are generally delivered within 2 weeks.  Turnaround times may be delayed during busy times of year, especially at the beginning of each semester.

To request a book available at any Northwestern Library, search for the book in NUsearch. From the item record in NUsearch, select Request and select "Law Library" as your pickup location. For faculty, the item will be routed to your faculty mailbox.

To request an item that is not available at any Northwestern Library, you may either submit an ILL request (ILLiad login required) or email the citation needed to Law Circulation at lawcirculation@northwestern.edu
