Northwestern Law faculty, staff, and students are now able to request books from our circulating collections via NUsearch. Library staff will contact patrons who request items to arrange for a pickup time Mon-Fri 10:00 – 4:00. Faculty, staff, and students arriving at the law school to pick up requested materials are expected to follow University health and safety guidelines by maintaining social distancing, wearing face masks and monitoring personal health.
To request a book in NUsearch, click on the title. After logging in with your NetID, select Request and select "Law Library" as your pickup location. Requests for titles from other Northwestern libraries may be delayed up to a week because of limited intercampus deliveries
As a reminder, all current library loans have been automatically renewed through September 28 and no late fees or lost fines will accrue. We ask that you keep your library loans until you are able to return to campus in the fall. If you are on campus, there is a book drop outside the library entrance on the 2nd floor of the Rubloff building in the atrium. There is also a temporary book return location at the loading dock in the Simpson-Querrey building located at 302 E. Huron. Books will be accepted Monday – Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Ring the bell at the dock entrance and someone will accept your library returns.
If students need books that are in a library locker, please contact the circulation desk directly to make arrangements.
Faculty, staff, and students will be able to request scans of articles, book chapters and pages from the library’s print collections using the Scan & Deliver Request Form.
We are now offering off-campus delivery for collections material to your home address. Interlibrary Loan books can also be shipped to a home address. We will make one shipment a week per patron to an off-campus location. If you request multiple items, they will be packed and shipped for once a week and mailed with UPS.
We will ship all circulating collections, including interlibrary loans, CDs, and DVDs.
You will receive a confirmation email before the item is shipped. If you have questions about your off-campus delivery request, please contact the circulation desk.
